The first 0.6 miles of the trail is in Big Shoals Management Area, an area managed jointly by the FL State Park, FL Dept of Agriculture Forestry and Suwannee River Water Management Division. The rest of the trail is on a 99 acre tract that SRWMD sold to the Town of White Springs in 2015.
