Evaluation Appraisal Report (EAR): The Evaluation Appraisal Report analyzes the current state of the
Comprehensive plan and recommends changes to the Comp Plan. Submitting a EAR is the first step
towards the comprehensive plan amendment process.
Current process: The town has hired EDA Consulting to write a EAR. The Town Charter provides for
the creation of a Comprehensive Land Use Plan Committee for this purpose.
Status: The EAR was submitted to the state who replied with a finding to be be responded to. That
finding will require significant changes to the Comprehensive plan. The EAR submitted had no
community feedback which is a component of the Comprehensive Planning process.
