Artist Ernest M. Lee, often referred to as Florida's Van Gogh, is known for his robust impasto style, characterized by vibrant colors.
White Springs Library has been honored to present Mr. Ernest M. Lee's beautiful and unique artworks, depicting life in the South and its rustic culture, in our very first Art Gallery. Stop by anytime during our open hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) on August 4th to see Lee's artwork adorning the walls of our library and learn more about his artwork and life story.

EVENT DETAILS:
Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park will host the 17th Annual Stephen Foster Old-Time Music Weekend on September 12-14, 2025, on the banks of the historic Suwannee River. 
This three-day event offers concerts, jams, and in-depth instruction in old time music techniques on the banjo, guitar, and fiddle. 

Concert Tickets are available in advance by clicking the Registration button. Advanced tickets are recommended.

Instructors include Ashlee Watkins, Andrew Small, Connor Vliestra, Buz Sibley, Michael Godwin, Phil Levy, Sarah Carleton, Kevin Moran, Mary Allgire, and Chuck Levy. 

Meals will not be provided this year. Please plan accordingly. 
  • Concerts: Friday and Saturday Night – $20.00Attend both Friday and Saturday Night Concerts
  • Friday Concert – $10.00
  • Friday or Sunday Tuition – $60.00
  • Saturday Concert – $10.00
  • Saturday Only Tuition – $120.00

CAMPING: Your completed registration makes you eligible to sign up for a limited number of campsites reserved for participants.  
On-Site Camping cost for 2 nights is $66.64 (includes tax and fees). 

The purchase of concert tickets alone does not meet the eligibility requirements for the use of the reserved campsites.

If you have a passion for fishing or a knack for lost arts, join Mark and Larry at White Springs Library for their Fly Fishing Class on August 20th at 10:30AM to learn how to tie a beginner fly and learn fly casting.
Everyone is welcome to attend the demonstration! Please note that supplies are limited, so only a few participants will be able to practice casting and tying hands-on.

To celebrate National Pet Tricks Day on September 30th, we will be hosting The Power of Clicker Training at 5:00PM to teach the importance of training your pets and how easy it is to do through clicker training. Please note, performing animals have a mind of their own and may not be able to perform on the day of the presentation. In this case, a video will be displayed while the presentation continues.

Picture an elegant garden party nestled among the oaks beside the beautiful bell tower. Pianists specially trained to play the bells will provide music as guests arrive. The dance floor will be laid beneath your feat and the giant tent will be adorned with white twinkling lights and beautiful live plants to create garden magic. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and a multitude of beverages will be provided. A dessert table filled with a plethora of desserts will enticee attendees. 

Groups of tables will be elegantly decorated with themes to feature some of Stephen Foster’s most beloved songs.

A brief program will highlight a bit of history of our beloved park. 
The dance floor will open and Lili Forbes and The Funky Taters will close out the evening with live music and dancing. “Lili can’t shake the Caribbean from her bones.” Hailing from St Maarten, she and The Taters bring life to music merging reggae, jazz, calypso and gospel in their sound. Put on your dancing shoes for a night out, the evening promises to be an event not to be missed!
