Jimmy Deas

TL;DR YouTube Video of Jimmy Deas

(from his Amazon bio):

Jimmy Deas grew up in the small North Florida towns of Lee, Madison, Greenville, and Jennings and his life was shaped by the culture of small towns and rural areas. He is sometimes called the North Florida author because his books reflect the uniqueness of this special part of Florida. He is a retired pastor and he and his wife live in North Florida near the Suwannee River, immortalized in song by Stephen Foster. Deas is a graduate of Jennings High School, North Florida Junior College (North Florida College), Luther Rice Seminary and attended Valdosta State College (Valdosta State University). He has traveled extensively in the Holy Land as well as trips to China, Haiti, Belgium, and Italy.

Deas draws from his forty plus years of ministry experiences to create the Mark Thomas series of novels: Ran Like Joseph, Just Have Faith, Prodigal Sons, and Ripples. The books are a realistic presentation of the life of a pastor and the people and situations that pastors are confronted with and challenged by. These novels have suspense, intrigue, mystery, and romance without any vulgarity or profanity. Each book is a story of God's redemptive love and forgiveness.

The stories books--A Teacher's Gift, Just a Dog, Mama Said, and Let Me Tell You a Story--are compilations of stories about people, events, places, or the author's views about life. These stories of life, love, and laughter will make you laugh, possibly cry, reminisce, contemplate, and hopefully give readers a new appreciation for this wonderful journey of life.

Deas is retired from full-time ministry, but stays busy as a guest preacher, an event speaker, writes a weekly column for the Lake City (FL) Recorder, and continues to write. He participates in book events in North Florida and South Georgia and is a regular participant in the Sunshine State Book Festival, one of Florida's premier book events.
